Dermody Properties Gifts a $10,000 Annual Thanksgiving Capstone Award to Colliers Cares for Hurricane Ian Relief Efforts
We have announced the recipients of the Dermody Properties Annual Thanksgiving Capstone Award. The Colliers Cares Hurricane Ian Relief Fund has received $10,000 to continue to ensure those affected by Hurricane Ian in the Greater Ft. Myers and Cape Coral regions have the supplies and financial support they need to recover from its impact.
When Hurricane Ian landed on Florida’s Southwest coast, countless families experienced a storm that disrupted lives, homes and businesses. Colliers International Real Estate’s Florida brokerage took action to help.
“The Colliers Cares Hurricane Ian Relief Fund works directly with organizations to purchase supplies and offer much-needed support to families, friends and colleagues who were so greatly affected by Hurricane Ian,” said Amy Curry, Partner and Chief Strategy Officer for Dermody Properties. Curry championed Colliers Cares Hurricane Ian Relief Fund as a recipient of the Thanksgiving Capstone Award this year.
Every year, senior management at Dermody Properties selects the recipients for the Annual Thanksgiving Capstone Award with the overall goal of helping nonprofit organizations address the increased need experienced during the holidays.
“The Annual Thanksgiving Capstone Award allows our company to contribute to organizations that are vital to the communities we are a part of,” said Curry. “We are so grateful to support Colliers Cares Hurricane Ian relief efforts. While the news about the storm has subsided, there are many families still feeling its impact. Organizations like Colliers Cares continue to provide impactful and needed support services.”
The Dermody Properties Annual Thanksgiving Capstone Award is uniquely directed each year by the executive management committee of Dermody Properties, which includes Chairman and CEO Michael Dermody; President Douglas A. Kiersey, Jr.; Partner and Chief Capital Officer Kathleen Briscoe; Partner and Chief Strategy Officer Amy Curry; Chief Operating Officer Elizabeth Kauchak; Chief Financial Officer Douglas Lanning; and Partner and Chief Investment Officer Timothy Walsh.
