As Partner, Chief Acquisition Officer for Dermody Properties, Tim Walsh is responsible for managing the company’s acquisition and investment opportunities nationwide. Mr. Walsh has more than 28 years of experience in industrial acquisitions and portfolio management, he is based out of the company’s Midwest Region Office located in Chicago, Illinois.
Throughout his career, Mr. Walsh has been engaged in the creation, deployment and management of industrial real estate fund vehicles. He’s been responsible for the acquisition of over 30 million square feet of industrial space with an aggregate value of more than $1.2 billion.
Prior to joining Dermody Properties, Mr. Walsh was a Principal of the Exeter Property Group and served as the Core Portfolio Manager. During his tenure at Exeter, Mr. Walsh was responsible for the acquisition of 94 industrial properties; these properties total more than 21 million square feet of industrial real estate space across 17 markets in the United States.
Prior to assuming his role at Exeter Property Group, Mr. Walsh spent 14 years at Wrightwood Capital where he oversaw originations, finance, asset management, leasing, dispositions, and investor relations for three successive industrial funds.
Mr. Walsh received his B.S. from the University of Norte Dame and received an M.B.A. from the J.L. Kellogg Graduate School of Management, at Northwestern University.
