Douglas Kiersey, Jr. is President of Dermody Properties, he is responsible for capital, acquisition, development, and investment management activities in the United States. Mr. Kiersey is a member of the Dermody Properties Advisory Board and chairs the Company’s Executive and Investment Committees.
Mr. Kiersey has over 30 years of experience in capital formation, development, acquisition, and asset management activities for logistics properties in more than 20 U.S. markets. Prior to joining Dermody Properties, he spent 17 years in various roles at Prologis, including Midwest Regional Director, where he had responsibility for an 84 million square foot portfolio and a team of 75 associates.
Prior to joining Prologis, Mr. Kiersey worked for 11 years with Cushman & Wakefield.
Since joining the company in 2011, Dermody Properties has developed and acquired logistics assets with an aggregate value in excess of $1.5 billion.
In January 2016, Dermody Properties formed Dermody Properties Industrial Fund, L.P., with an equity commitment of $442 million and a strategy of investing in Class A logistics properties in major U.S. markets.
Mr. Kiersey earned his B.S. in Business Administration from Oregon State University and an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University — where he is a member of the Kellogg Real Estate Advisory Council. He is also a member of the Urban Land Institute and the Society of Industrial and Office Realtors.
