Awarded to Nonprofits Annually
At Dermody, we believe it is our responsibility to share our success with the communities in which we do business. The Dermody Thanksgiving Capstone Award began in 2008 as a way to say “thank you” to a community that helps our business thrive. Each year during the Thanksgiving season, Dermody makes a substantial donation to one or more nonprofit organizations to help them continue their good works throughout the holiday season.
Our first capstone gift was dedicated to the Food Bank of Northern Nevada (FBNN) to help them open their new facility – a 60,000-square-foot distribution center that allowed them to begin distributing 6 million pounds of food per year.
Dermody continues to support and give back to our communities through initiatives like the Thanksgiving Capstone Award.
2025 Capstone Awards include Catholic Charities of Northern Nevada, Feeding America of Riverside, Food Bank of Northern Nevada, Northfield Township Food Pantry, North Texas Food Bank, St. Mary's Food Bank and The Catholic Shrine of Immaculate Conception St. Francis Table Soup Kitchen.
