Dermody Properties Names New Partner

Dermody Properties has named 28-year industrial real estate veteran Eugene Preston as the Partner managing the firm’s Eastern Region Office located in West Conshohocken, Penn. He will direct the company’s industrial development efforts in the markets of eastern Pennsylvania, southwestern New Jersey and Savannah, Georgia. He will also be responsible for additional development in new markets throughout the eastern United States.

Preston has extensive development, acquisition, underwriting and operations experience in the East Coast region. Most recently he was a Principal with Woodmont Industrial Partners, a firm devoted to acquiring and managing industrial buildings in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Maryland and Florida. Prior to his role at Woodmont, he held senior management positions with ProLogis, most recently as Senior Vice President in the Northeast Region, with Higgins Development Partners and also with the Rockefeller Group Development Corporation.

Preston earned his master’s degree in business administration from New York University and his bachelor’s degree in accounting from West Virginia University. He is a trustee of the New Jersey chapter of NAIOP and is chairman of the organization’s Industrial Development V National Forum.
