Construction Milestone Reached at Dermody Properties’ Manteca Commerce Center
Dermody Properties recently reached a construction milestone with the tilt-up and placement of the first wall panels for its 286,072-square-foot industrial facility in Manteca, Calif. at DuPont Court.
Located in California’s Central Valley, Manteca Commerce Center will feature a total of 50 dock doors, two grade-level doors, a 36-foot clear height and 156 car parking spaces. The facility is ideal for ecommerce, warehouse/distribution, and manufacturing. Construction is expected to be complete in the 2nd Quarter.
“We are excited to be expanding our investments in the Central Valley,” said Douglas A. Kiersey Jr., President, Dermody Properties. “The development of Manteca Commerce Center is consistent with our strategy of investing in key distribution markets with a high demand for industrial facilities and a well-established transportation infrastructure.”
Manteca Commerce Center is ideally located directly off of U.S. Highway 120 and just 15 minutes south from the Port of Stockton, with excellent access to U.S. Highway 99 and Interstate 5. It also provides an ideal West Coast distribution link to Fresno, Reno, Los Angeles and Las Vegas. The area is ideal for industrial business, offering a robust workforce of over 22,000 manufacturing and 16,000 transportation employees within a 25-minute radius.
“Manteca Commerce Center is our second property in the Central Valley,” said George Condon, West Region Partner, Dermody Properties. “Companies are continuing to move from the Bay Area to the Central Valley to expand their businesses and lease Class-A warehouse space at a significant discount to the cost of Bay Area warehouses. Companies new to Northern California are also setting up shop in the Central Valley to serve the businesses and residents of the Bay Area.”
JLL is marketing the property on behalf of Dermody Properties. The project was designed by HPA, Inc., and BCM Construction is the General Contractor.
Dermody Properties continues to seek additional opportunities for the acquisition and/or development of warehouse, distribution, manufacturing buildings and sites in the Central California region.
