Dermody Properties Names New Foundation Administrator

Dermody Properties has named Carol Martin as the new Administrator of the Dermody Properties Foundation. Martin joined Dermody Properties in 2002 and currently serves as the development firm’s Marketing Coordinator and also assists senior staff with property management activities in the Western Region.

In her new role as Foundation Administrator, Martin is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the grant application process, including guiding non-profit organizations through the process and evaluating all applications before they are sent to the Foundation’s Board of Directors, which is comprised of Dermody Properties employees.

The Dermody Properties Foundation, which was founded in 1988, is funded by the profits generated by the hard work of all the employees at Dermody Properties. The Foundation donates more than $100,000 per year to a variety of non-profits, with a focus on the arts, education, and the family, as well as a special emphasis on children and the elderly.

“The Dermody Properties Foundation has helped thousands of families through grants to hundreds of worthy non-profit organizations,” Martin said. “I am excited to now have a bigger part in this very rewarding process.”

Martin is also an active volunteer for industry organizations such as the National Association of Industrial and Office Properties (NAIOP) and Commercial Real Estate Women.  She currently serves as Program Chairman for the NAIOP Northern Nevada Chapter.
