Reno Developer Starts Work on North Las Vegas Distribution Center

A Reno industrial developer said Tuesday that it has started construction of a large, local distribution center in North Las Vegas.
Dermody Properties is building its 381,804-square-foot LogistiCenterSM Cheyenne on 20 acres at 4025 E. Cheyenne Ave.
The property will put tenants within a day’s drive of key West Coast markets including Los Angeles, Phoenix and Salt Lake City, and within two days of a 17-state regional market, Dermody officials said.
“Las Vegas is the economic hub of our state and is a great platform for regional distribution,” said CEO Michael Dermody in a statement.
Construction is scheduled for completion in October. The center will feature a 32-foot interior clear height, 80 trailer stalls and 248 car stalls.
The space will help ease what local real estate observers say is a shortage of large-scale industrial space that is keeping some big warehouse users from opening operations in Southern Nevada.
United Construction Co. of Nevada is the general contractor. Colliers International brokers Susan Borst, CCIM, and Dan Doherty, SIOR, are marketing the property to potential tenants.
