Dermody Properties Acquires Prime Logistics Real Estate in Atlanta
We’ve acquired a distribution facility at 210 Interstate South Dr. in McDonough, Ga. The 428,160-square-foot distribution space is fully leased to Ken’s Food, Inc., producers of Ken’s Salad Dressings and Marinades, among others.
The 25.1-acre property is ideally located within the South Atlanta submarket, with easy access to both of Henry County’s major distribution access points along Interstate 75 (Exit 218 at Highway 20 and Exit 216 at Highway 155).
210 Interstate South Dr. features a 28-foot clear height, 101 dock high doors, 147 trailer parking spaces, 113 auto parking spaces, tilt-up concrete panels, two truck courts of 130 feet and 185 feet, and 4,242 square feet of office space.
“This modern distribution center offers a business-friendly environment in one of the Southeast’s most critical distribution hubs,” said Greg Ryan, Southeast Region Partner for Dermody Properties. “This acquisition is a part of Dermody Properties’ unique strategy of offering our customers preeminent facilities near large regional population bases.”
The majority of the properties in the area are occupied by e-commerce and distribution/warehouse companies. Corporate neighbors include Georgia-Pacific, The Home Depot, Kimberly-Clark, Medline, Luxottica, Scotts, Nestle, and Whirlpool. The submarket serves as Georgia’s primary inland port.
“Atlanta is one of the nation’s leading business centers,” said Timothy Walsh, Partner and Chief Investment Officer at Dermody Properties. “This property offers companies like Ken’s Foods the opportunity to reach a broad cross-section of their customers quickly and efficiently. ”
Dermody Properties worked closely with Sean Boswell, Chris Cummings and Todd Harrell of Colliers International Atlanta, who represented the seller in this transaction.
