Dermody Properites Acquires Industrial Site Near I-205 in Vancouver, WA
Will Develop 98,400-Square-Foot Industrial Facility in the Portland Market
Dermody Properties recently announced the purchase of six acres at Northeast 60th Way in Vancouver. Dermody Properties will develop a 98,400-square-foot industrial facility, known as LogistiCenter 205, on the site.
LogistiCenter 205 will be the only Class A industrial facility available in the Vancouver/ Clark County submarket. Upon completion, the facility will feature 30’ clear height, a 130’ truck court and Early Suppression, Fast Response sprinkler systems.
“The Vancouver/Clark County submarket is a highly desirable industrial market, but currently lacks available, state-of-the-art industrial facilities,” said Phillip Wood, partner, Dermody Properties Northwest Region Office. “So we are very excited to have found this site, and look forward to beginning construction.”
The location of LogistiCenter 205 provides immediate access to the I-205 corridor, a major Pacific Northwest distribution throughway. LogistiCenter 205 will allow industrial distributors to reach the Northwestern U.S. market quickly and efficiently. “We are committed to expanding our presence in the Portland market, and are pleased to be entering the Vancouver submarket,” said Douglas A. Kiersey, Jr., president, Dermody Properties. “Portland’s market fundamentals remain strong but inventory has declined recently. This location and this facility will serve the needs of northwest industrial operators well.”
Dermody Properties purchased the site from a private seller. Tony Reser, Tom Talbot and Scott Murphy of Kidder Mathews, Portland will market the property to prospective tenants for Dermody Properties. Mackenzie will serve as the architect for the project, and Perlo Construction of Portland will build the facility.
LogistiCenter is a national trademark brand, owned and developed by Dermody Properties. It represents the firm’s business philosophy of developing Class A distribution facilities that meet the supply-chain requirements of its clients. All LogistiCenter facilities are designed to meet best practices in sustainable design and construction, and incorporate building features, such as additional clear height and extra trailer and car parking, that enable companies to execute their operations more effectively and efficiently.
