Class was in session: Dermody hosted 28 Arizona State University Graduate Students for a Tour of The Logistics Campus
Dermody’s Midwest Region recently hosted 28 graduate students from the W.P. Carey School of Business at Arizona State University who were touring the Chicago market as part of the school’s real estate program. The Logistics Campus, the region’s flagship Dermody project, was selected as the site for the tour.
“The students were all incredibly engaged, asking great questions about the project and the industry,” Neal Driscoll, Midwest Region Partner at Dermody said. “It was a great chance for our team to share in the experience with future real estate leaders.”
The Logistics Campus is a master-planned, 10-building logistics campus totaling 3,238,548 square feet with flexibility to accommodate build-to-suits. Construction is completed on Phase 1, which consists of more than 1.2 million square feet spread out over five buildings with over two million square feet available for future phases. Dermody also recently announced that Pepsi, leased Building 10, a 351,520 square-foot build-to-suit logistics facility, which will be completed in early 2026.
The tour offered students the opportunity to see a large-scale, office-to-industrial redevelopment project and understand what that process looks like, including how Dermody navigated entitlements, strategic planning and municipal challenges to deliver a best-in-class project.
“I especially enjoyed hearing about the strategy Dermody used to secure this deal, how they approached due diligence and the decision-making process to determine the product size, mix and phasing,” said Christopher Dockins, a student at Arizona State University who attended the tour. “Dermody’s hospitality was also top-notch, and the presentation was engaging, informative and enlightening.”
The Logistics Campus is located at the intersection of I-294 and Willow Road in Glenview, Illinois, a short distance north of O’Hare International Airport. It is situated near a wide array of amenities, within a very deep and skilled labor pool, and has immediate access to greater Chicago’s interstate system.
