Dermody Hires Chris Brown as Senior Vice President

Dermody has hired Chris Brown as Senior Vice President.

As Senior Vice President, Mr. Brown will support in the sourcing, execution and operations of new investments throughout Dermody’s Southeast Region, which spans Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee and Florida. Mr. Brown will also serve as a crucial member of the leasing, management and asset management team for the region’s existing assets. 

“The Southeast has always been a dynamic region for logistics real estate and Dermody has made smart investments here,” said Brown. “I’m looking forward to working with this team to build on that momentum.”

Prior to joining Dermody, Mr. Brown was Partner at Constellation Real Estate Partners, where he was responsible for investment opportunities in the Southeast. He also served a 26-year tenure at Duke Realty, where he worked his way to Regional President of the South and Central Regions. In that role, he led a team of more than 40 people to execute leasing, development and property management functions across 10 markets.

“We are very fortunate to add someone of Chris’ caliber and experience to our Southeast team as we continue to grow our business in this region of the country,” said Wes Hardy, Southeast Region Partner at Dermody. “He will be invaluable in the operation of our existing portfolio, while also helping grow the portfolio through the execution of new investments.” 

Mr. Brown holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from the College of William and Mary. He began his career as a CPA in the tax and real estate advisory groups at Arthur Andersen.
