Pearce Dermody is a Vice President at Dermody Properties. He is responsible for the sourcing and management of acquisitions and development of logistics product across Nevada including Las Vegas and Reno/Sparks. He is based at the company’s headquarters located in Reno, Nevada.
Prior to his role at Dermody Properties, Mr. Dermody was Vice President at Atalyst Financial Group where he served as part of an executive team originating, engineering, and executing investment banking transactions, as well as transactions related to securities, mortgage brokerage, and real estate brokerage.
Mr. Dermody has also managed and analyzed private equity transactions and capital deployment across multiple platforms. He has a deep experience of the federal funds allocation process, land use policy, and cost structures– all critical in working with federal agencies, stakeholders, and investors. His role cultivated a passion for ESG initiatives as they relate to rangeland and timberland.
To date, Mr. Dermody has engaged and underwritten more than $700 million in debt and equity transactions across multiple regions and asset classes including industrial, flex, multi-family, timber, and master-planned communities.
Mr. Dermody holds a master’s degree in real estate from Georgetown University, and a bachelor’s degree in political science with a minor in business administration from the University of Nevada, Reno. He also holds a Certificate in Commercial Real Estate from Cornell University.
Mr. Dermody enjoys fitness and outdoor activities. He is an avid outdoorsman with formal training in avalanche rescue and wilderness medicine. Mr. Dermody lives in Reno, Nevada with his partner and their three dogs–Odin, Thor, and Goose. Mr. Dermody’s philanthropic activities include supporting the SPCA of Northern Nevada, Washoe County Regional Animal Shelter, and various canine cancer foundations.
