Matthew Mexia
Partner, Southern California

Matthew Mexia is Partner, Southern California at Dermody, where he oversees the region’s portfolio. He is responsible for sourcing and executing acquisition and development opportunities throughout Southern California, in alignment with Dermody’s strategy of acquiring and developing Class A logistics facilities in infill submarkets. He also leads asset management and customer relationships across the region. Mr. Mexia brings more than 20 years of experience in industrial real estate.

Prior to joining Dermody, Mr. Mexia served as Managing Partner at Industrial Capital Advisors, Inc., where he co-led the firm’s efforts to source industrial acquisition and development opportunities for institutional clients and capital partners. He previously served as Vice President of Capital Markets Services at DTZ, where he coordinated investment offerings and provided transaction services and strategic advisory to investors and global corporate clients across the Western United States.

Mr. Mexia is a member of the Urban Land Institute (ULI) and the National Association for Industrial and Office Parks (NAIOP). He holds the Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM) designation and a California Real Estate Broker license.

Mr. Mexia earned a Bachelor of Arts from Southern Methodist University and resides in Orange County with his wife and three children.
