John Picchiotti is the Senior Vice President of National Leasing at Dermody Properties and is responsible for supporting the company’s robust leasing activities, national and regional broker relationships and key customers. In addition, he coordinates ongoing marketing efforts, proposal development and deal execution with Regional Partners.
Before joining Dermody Properties in 2023, Mr. Picchiotti was Managing Director, Chicago Industrial Brokerage Lead for Jones Lang Lasalle (JLL) where he led the industrial brokerage group. He was also involved in regional and national initiatives as a member of the National Industrial Council and as the leader of the National Agency Leasing Steering Committee. During his tenure with JLL, he directed a P&L that exceeded $50 million for a business that tripled its top and bottom lines between 2017 and 2022.
Prior to JLL, Mr. Picchiotti was Chief Operating Officer at NAI Hiffman, where he directed 54 brokers comprised of industrial, office, investment sales and retail groups. During his leadership, he directed P&L, brokerage operations recruitment and key customer relationships for markets that increased top and bottom-line revenue consistently from 2012 to 2016.
John’s real estate career also includes 16 years as Market Officer in Charge of Operations for Prologis in Chicago where he led the leasing, property and asset management efforts in a business comprised of 25 million square feet. He was directly responsible for creating over $1.5 billion in leasing revenue in over 600 transactions. John was also a member of the Global Services Key Customer Accounts Team.
Mr. Picchiotti holds a Bachelor of Science in Accountancy from the University of Illinois. He is a certified public accountant and licensed managing real estate broker. Mr. Picchiotti’s affiliations include the National Association of Office and Industrial Properties (NAIOP), Society of Industrial and Office Realtors (SIOR), Association of Industrial Real Estate Brokers (AIRE) and Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals (CSCMP) and numerous local charitable and educational organizations.
