The Dermody Team

Joe Grant is Vice President of Development in the Southeast Region. Based in Atlanta, he is responsible for providing due diligence, design, entitlement, regulatory, budget and construction oversight for acquisitions, redevelopment, speculative development and build-to-suit projects.

Prior to joining the Dermody team in 2023, Mr. Grant served 11 years at Duke Realty as Director of Preconstruction and Construction Project Executive. Joe has previously worked 14 years in project management for Centex, Skanska USA and Hardin in healthcare construction.

Throughout his career, Mr. Grant has overseen development, preconstruction, and construction of industrial property warehouse/distribution facilities and infrastructure projects totaling more than 12 million square feet for key clients including Amazon, FedEx, Kuehne + Nagel, and Armada. Additionally, he managed preconstruction projects for markets outside of his base of Atlanta in CA, FL, NJ, PA and TX. In each of these roles, Mr. Grant oversaw the design and construction teams to ensure on-time and on-budget delivery of all projects.

Mr. Grant holds a bachelor’s degree in engineering from Old Dominion University.
