David Jennings
Executive Vice President - Development

David Jennings is Executive Vice President of Development for Dermody, leading a national team of development managers across eight regional markets. In this role, he ensures Dermody’s standards are consistently applied across the company’s development portfolio.  He oversees the adoption of evolving industry best practices in design, cost control, and speed-to-market execution, and is responsible for the training and integration of new team members.

Based in New Jersey, Dave maintains a hands-on leadership role, directly overseeing development activity in the New Jersey and Pennsylvania markets.  He provides due diligence, design, entitlement, budgeting, and construction oversight for both speculative developments and build-to-suit projects.

Mr. Jennings began his career at Duke Realty, where he served in a variety of roles over an 18-year tenure.  Prior to joining Dermody in 2022, he served as Senior Vice President of Construction for Duke Realty’s Northeast Region, with responsibility for all construction activity in Pennsylvania and New Jersey, including oversight of pre-construction, project management, superintendents, and field engineering teams.

Mr. Jennings holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Construction Engineering and Management from Purdue University and is a licensed Professional Engineer.  He is also a LEED® (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) Building Design & Construction Accredited Professional.
