Dan Meador is Executive Vice President of Asset Management and National Leasing at Dermody Properties and is responsible for the operating performance and value maximization for the company’s robust and expanding portfolio. This includes oversight for leasing, customer relationships and third-party broker agreements. In addition, he supports the company’s regional teams in developing and executing on asset management strategies for its development projects and acquisition assets. He brings more than 40 years of real estate experience with him, including 20 years in the industrial sector.
Before joining Dermody Properties in 2020, Mr. Meador was Regional Director/Market Leader for First Industrial Realty Trust where he oversaw capital deployment, leasing, property operations and strategic dispositions for a 5-million-square-foot industrial portfolio in Indianapolis, Cincinnati and Louisville. During his tenure with First Industrial, he completed nearly 400 leasing transactions representing an excess of 6 million square feet of occupied space.
Mr. Meador was Senior Vice President with Kite Realty Group, where he oversaw asset management and leasing activities for a national portfolio of retail shopping centers. Prior to this, he was Vice President and Market Officer at Prologis, representing an 11 million-square-foot portfolio in Indianapolis. In this role, he completed in excess of 300 lease transactions and executed on nearly 3 million square feet of new development. Prior to this, his real estate career also includes fourteen years with JLL in various corporate services roles for a wide variety of investor and occupier clients.
Mr. Meador holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree with an accounting/finance concentration from the University of Cincinnati. He also carries a Society of Industrial and Officer Realtors (SIOR) designation.
Mr. Meador has been an active member of his community, serving on the City of Fishers, Indiana Board of Zoning Appeals for 14 years and volunteering at Gleaners Food Bank and the Wheeler Mission for Women and Children. He has been an integral part of the youth soccer community in Central Indiana for many years as an Indiana Soccer Foundation board member, president and board member for local clubs and licensed USSF and IHSAA soccer official.
