The Dermody Team

Barbara Hazlett is an Investment Manager in Dermody’s Midwest Region, based out of Chicago.  She supports the Region Partner in all acquisition, development, leasing, marketing, and property management efforts in the Midwest.  Ms. Hazlett brings with her more than two decades of experience in real estate planning, project management and operations.

Prior to joining Dermody, Ms. Hazlett held the position of Director of Market Operations for Cushman & Wakefield Chicago, their Global Headquarters. In this capacity, she managed the operational functions and implementation of business strategies, overseeing operations, finance, employee relations, and facilities.

Ms. Hazlett was responsible for aligning Cushman & Wakefield’s considerable resources to ensure client satisfaction and overall profitability in the firm’s Chicago offices. Through strategic planning, she developed and implemented workplace initiatives and best practices to achieve these goals.

In her 25 plus years with Cushman & Wakefield, Ms. Hazlett has served in a number of roles before being promoted to Director of Market Operations. She was also an active member of Cushman & Wakefield’s Women’s Integrated Network (WIN), during which time she served as a mentor to young women, helping to develop their careers.

Ms. Hazlett holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Phoenix. A native Chicagoan, she has been active in the community working with organizations such as Girl & Boy Scouts of America, Feed My Starving Children, and Greater Chicago Food Depository.
