The Dermody Properties Foundation and Penn Jersey Partner to Support Not-for-Profits
It’s become a tradition that when key projects with our customers come to a close, the Dermody Properties Foundation makes a donation in their name to the charity of their choice. In honor of our partnership with Penn Jersey (PJP), and in celebration of the recent completion of their new corporate headquarters and distribution center in Philadelphia, the Foundation gave two $5,000 grant checks to PJP, which were donated to the Greater Delaware Valley Chapters of Autism Speaks and the National Multiple Sclerosis Society.
Autism Speaks is the nation’s largest autism science and advocacy organization, dedicated to funding research, increasing awareness and supporting individuals with autism and their families. On Sept. 24, Dermody Properties and PJP made the check presentation during the 2011 Philadelphia Walk Now for Autism Speaks event. Walk Now for Autism Speaks is the organization’s signature fundraiser and takes place annually in communities across the United States and Canada.
On Oct. 11, Dermody Properties and PJP donated the second grant check from the Dermody Properties Foundation to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society (NMSS). NMSS is dedicated to finding ways to prevent, treat and cure Multiple Sclerosis by funding cutting-edge research, facilitating professional education and providing programs and services that support people with MS and their families. The donation was presented at the Greater Delaware Valley Chapter’s Leadership Class Award Ceremony.
Sharing our success by giving back to our communities is an important part of Dermody Properties’ mission and philosophy, and we are proud to partner with PJP to support these two worthy organizations.
