Dermody Properties Spreads Holiday Cheer Through the Children’s Cabinet Adopt A Family Program

For more than 15 years, Dermody Properties has proudly participated in the Children’s Cabinet Adopt A Family program, bringing holiday joy and much-needed support to local families. This year, the team had the privilege of adopting two families: one consisting of a mother and her five children, and another comprised of a mother, grandmother, and three children.

Alice, our Senior Accountant with 32 years of dedicated service at Dermody Properties, has led this initiative year after year. Her remarkable commitment ensures that each family receives thoughtful and meaningful gifts. This year was no exception—Alice coordinated the purchase of warm pajamas, coats, toys and at least one special “dream” gift for each child.

To further support the families, the team contributed gift cards, providing additional flexibility for them to purchase items they may need most. Alice spearheaded the shopping effort, with the majority completed by 5 a.m. on Black Friday, and personally delivered the gifts to the Children’s Cabinet for distribution.

“I like to spoil the families,” Alice shared, reflecting her passion and dedication to making the holidays brighter for those in need.

The Dermody Properties team also came together to wrap the gifts, adding a personal touch to the holiday packages. Their generosity and teamwork embody the spirit of the season, and we are grateful for their efforts year after year.
