Dermody Properties and PCCP Break Ground on 405,000 SF Distribution Center

Dermody Properties and PCCP, an integrated real estate finance and investment management firm, recently broke ground on a 405,000-square-foot distribution center in Union Township, Pennsylvania.

Known as LogistiCenterSM at 78-81, the new facility is located on a 43-acre site at the intersection of I-78 and I-81. Dermody Properties and PCCP broke ground at the site on September 16, and expect to complete construction in the spring of 2016. R. S. Mowery & Sons, Inc. is serving as the general contractor for the project.

“Having recently acquired this site with PCCP, we are excited to now turn our attention to the development of LogistiCenterSM at 78-81,” said Eugene Preston, Partner, Dermody Properties East Region Office. “We are focused on designing and building a modern, flexible-use facility that will allow future customers to reach consumers quickly and efficiently.”

Upon completion, LogistiCenterSM at 78-81 will be a front-load distribution building with a separate lot providing excess parking capacity. The state-of-the-art facility will also include 36 feet of clear height, 81 dock doors, 60-foot loading bays, parking for 220 cars and one extra trailer parking space per dock door.

“We are pleased to be breaking ground on another facility with PCCP as our partner,” said Douglas A. Kiersey, Jr., President, Dermody Properties. “LogistiCenterSM at 78-81, and all of our projects currently under development in Pennsylvania and New Jersey, fit within our strategy of providing premier developments in markets with key demand drivers.”
