Dermody Invests in the North Valleys with Expanded Roadway

Dermody is pleased to announce the completion of the Moya Boulevard extension, a roadway that improves access for employers and creates opportunity for northern Nevada’s skilled workforce in the North Valleys.

The newly extended four-lane roadway connects Lear Boulevard to Military Road, unlocking more than 900 acres of logistics and advanced manufacturing opportunities at Reno AirLogistics Park, bringing employment closer to where employees live. Fully funded by Dermody, the project represents a significant private investment in public infrastructure that supports the region’s growth and livability without taxpayer dollars.

“Dermody has deep roots in northern Nevada and a long history of investing in our communities,” said John Ramous, Nevada Region Partner at Dermody. “This project shows what’s possible when public and private partners work together to build infrastructure that benefits everyone. The Moya Boulevard extension creates a safer, more efficient corridor that strengthens the region’s economy and quality of life.”

The road design includes enhanced safety measures such as improved drainage and dedicated turn lanes to accommodate both commuter and commercial traffic. By extending Moya Boulevard, Dermody is continuing to position the North Valleys for responsible, balanced and sustainable growth.

The extension also marks an important milestone for Reno AirLogistics Park, which is designed as a model live-work development, providing companies with state-of-the-art logistics and advanced manufacturing facilities while maintaining proximity to a skilled workforce. With more than 9,000 families living in the North Valleys, the project underscores how direct private investment enhances quality of life through smarter, more responsible growth.

“From the beginning, our focus has been on creating opportunity and removing barriers to good jobs close to where people live,” said Ramous. “The North Valleys have long been a hub for innovation and logistics, and this project ensures the community and economy grow together.”

Once complete, Reno AirLogistics Park will deliver flexible facilities for distribution, e-commerce, aeronautics, and research and development users, adjacent to the Reno-Stead Airport. With more than 70,000 households in the greater Reno-Sparks communities and a skilled labor force of 100,000 within 10 miles, it offers companies the rare combination of a qualified workforce and minimal commute times.
