Article from Gloucester County Times: Gloucester County's Business Outlook a Little Brighter, Say Officials
Stephen Bailey (Partner, Eastern Region) was quoted in a recent Gloucester County Times article on the bright future of Logan Township and Gloucester County.
March 17, 2012 – Stephen Bailey is tired of sitting on the sidelines. Forget the recession. He wants back in the business development game.
“We have enough confidence in the market to start building,” Bailey suggest Friday to an audience of 200 at Gloucester County’s 11th annual “Bankers and Builders Breakfast” at Adelphia’s in Deptford Township.
Dermody Properties, of whose Mid-Atlantic Region he is director, has built – and leased out – three spec buildings in Logan Township. He says the time is ripe to build a fourth.
Such news is just what Lisa Morina, director of the Gloucester County Office of Economic Development, wants to hear.
There’s light, she suggested to the audience, at the end of the proverbial tunnel.
The light is a little “dim,” she acknowledged. But there is light.
Bailey’s remarks boosted the brightness of that light a few watts.
Morina said a print manufacturing firm is moving from Pennsauken Township to West Deptford Township. Another reasonably large firm is heading into Logan.
“Things are moving,” Morina said.
