
Kirk Olsen joined DP Partners in August 2002, and is currently the Regional Manager in Portland, Oregon. He is responsible for all project acquisitions and build-to-suit opportunities, as well as overseeing development in the northwest region, including the company’s first industrial project in the area, the LogistiCourt at Portal Way.
Prior to relocating to Portland in August 2007, Kirk worked in the company’s Reno, Nevada office as a Business Development and Leasing Manager. In these roles he was accountable for national new business development and corporate account management, and implemented a comprehensive marketing campaign to enable DP Partners to expand its development platform throughout the nation.
Olsen negotiated over 125 lease transactions and led the company’s build-to-suit proposal process for the western region. He also controlled sales transactions of buildings and land, including a 300,000 SF property disposition in Atlanta.
Prior to joining DP Partners, Olsen’s broad experience included several managerial positions within the software industry in California. He was also previously employed by International Paper in Tennessee, and worked as a geologist for an environmental consulting company in Washington, D.C.
Kirk holds a BA degree from Washington and Lee University, a liberal arts college in Lexington, Virginia, where he was a NCAA lacrosse athlete. In 1999, he earned an MBA from Vanderbilt University Management in Nashville, Tennessee.
A native of Baltimore, Maryland, Kirk and his family enjoy exploring the Oregon mountains and coastline through skiing, fishing, and hiking. Kirk is an active member of the Portland community and of various real estate and charitable organizations.
